In many programs, courses are scheduled around faculty members who are working on productions during the day. SAVE instructors and Heads of Department have worked on independent projects and with major studios such as MEL, Blow Fish, Rhythm & Hues, Prime Focus etc. Instructors on the SAVE Advisory Board include some of the leading minds in relevant fields. They help shape the curriculum to keep programs up to speed with current industry practices and needs.

    Is a faculty in the Dept of Film Studies, Jadavpur University since the inception of the department. A teacher, an educator, mentor, film theorist, writer, poet, this person is always there to inspire you with his positive thinking and never fails to surprise you with his talent. He has written many books and articles on film and cultural studies which are read thoroughly.

    A National award winning cinematographer associated to this industry for a long time. His experience as a cameraperson shows a transition from the world of celluloid to digital technology which he has adapted with ease. He is also a well known teacher of cinematography and is associated with St Xaviers College, Calcutta University and Jadavpur University as a faculty for a long time.

    An editor by profession, a film maker by passion. A meritorious student of Roopkala Kendro, Kolkata he started his carreer as a successful editor. In his journey he has made many short films and telefilms, some of which he has won acclaim in India and abroad. He has just finished directing his debut film 'Bakita Byaktigato'. He made his debut as an editor of the feature film 'Bicycle Kick'.

    Is a postgraduate in English and Film Studies from Jadavpur University. He has been working as an independent film maker for the last 12 years. He began his career as an advertising professional and then shifted to a freelance journalism and finally landed up giving shapes to his ideas in audio visual medium. He has been teaching film studies in different universities for the last 8 years and takes workshops on film and media. He made his debut film Bicycle Kick released in 2013 which has got wide acclaim here and abroad. He has also travelled widely to shoot documentary and attend conferences in London,Tokyo, Malayasia and Bangladesh.
